Reading Signals from Nature in Tea Farming

Day & Time:
Saturday, September 28, 2019 - 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Nature makes teas that that allow drinkers to connect with themselves and their environments. Modern farming practices seek to replace nature, but the old style of farming still exists if we pursue it. When sparrows become invisible in neighboring persimmon trees, it is time to spread open the reed mat. And when crows become invisible, it is time to cover with straw. Join me to hear what I've learned about growing tea in nature from other tea farmers in Japan. Learn how natural signals can be used in other tea growing areas, and how I use them on my farm on Hawaii island.
