Annelies Zijderveld is the author of the cookbook, Steeped: Recipes Infused with Tea, published by Andrews McMeel. For eight years, she worked as head of marketing at Mighty Leaf Tea. Her passion for tea and good food runs deep. She teaches cooking classes in the SF Bay area regularly. She has written and photographed for Paste Magazine, the Kitchn, Remedy Quarterly, Darling Magazine, and others. Her poetry has been printed in various publications including Alexandria Quarterly, Garbanzo Journal and Sated Magazine. Alimentum Journal selected her food poetry blog, The Food Poet, as one of their favorite food blogs. She is an associate editor for Poetry International and holds an MFA in poetry from New England College. She lives in Oakland with her husband.
