Providing a pleasing esthetic experience as well as one with a deeper meaning is the simple goal

In a rapidly changing world, timelessness has become a rare virtue, and a seemingly impossible feat. In a world full of shortcuts and compromise, Denong Tea seeks out the timeless. In 1998, Our parent company Denong Tea Company first started conducting tea-related trade in Yunnan Province, China. In 2005, they expanded and began manufacturing, storing, trading and auctioning Pu-erh tea. They were soon awarded numerous accolades after quickly earning the respect of both their customers and peers in the Pu-erh tea industry. After the company’s success in China, Denong Tea opened up additional branches in Hong Kong and Taiwan. All throughout the world, the name Denong has come to represent an assurance of quality and dignity. Our own Denong Tea Inc. was established as its US branch in 2012, and was officially launched in March 2016. Since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to sharing the miracle of Pu-erh with an American audience. We have opened our flagship store in Pasadena on 11/11/2017

The Elmwood Inn Fine Teas story began in 1990 when Shelley Richardson opened a tea room in the Civil War village of Perryville, Kentucky - just as the American tea renaissance was about to awaken. For the next 14 years, Elmwood Inn developed an international reputation as one of America's favorite locations for a traditional afternoon tea. Bruce and Shelley Richardson chronicled their life in tea through three books and eventually launched a tea importing and wholesale packaging company - Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. After serving thousands of guests, the tea room closed on July 31, 2004 in order for the family to focus on their expanding tea and publishing businesses.

From their new Danville, Kentucky facility, Elmwood Inn Fine Teas imports, blends and packages teas for hotels, retailers, gourmet grocers, restaurants, tea bars, coffee shops and museums across North America, while Benjamin Press is now the largest publisher of tea books in America.

Being long-time educators, the Richardsons felt the need to share their tea talents with eager students. Since 2000, over 400 aspiring tea entrepreneurs from across the world have attended their annual TEA MasterClass. These seminars, combined with the 14 tea books they have now authored on the subject, continue to inspire tea professionals wordwide. Meet the Richardsons at these events.

The Chai We Brew Today Is Part Of An Ancient Herbal Remedy...

Chai originates from a medicinal tradition that began in India over 5,000 years ago. Throughout the beautiful lands of India, chair spices are plentiful and known for their ability to heal the body.

200 years ago, the healing spices found their way into hot cups of black tea. Tea was beginning to be grown in abundance in the lush mountains of India during British occupation. Black tea is known for its uplifting abilities and its high antioxidant content. It added a delightful twist to the herbal blend and has become a beloved drink around the world.

We started out by perfecting a one-cup recipe with fragrant herbs, traditional black tea, and golden evaporated cane juice reminiscent of honey.

Today we brew our chair in small craft batches, bottle our product in recyclable containers, compost all of our spices, choose non-GM and fair trade ingredients, and contribute to organizations that protect Earth’s natural forests.

Asian styled and functional pottery from Albuquerque NM made entirely by hand.

Creation of this work provides a calm that I have not felt in any other work, and the process and product are both profoundly human. The centering focuses the mind and breath and the creation gives an outstanding reward. It is a priviledge to be able to create with my hands a form that will be used by others for a long time to come.

The various shapes, styles, colors and designs can be tailored toward individual teas, personal preferences as well as regional differences and traditions.

Japanese Green Tea Company (1-800-380-7030) sells authentic, healthy Japanese Matcha & Green Tea harvested in sugarcane soil. Our tea is the Winner of Global Tea Championship, 2017 and Japanese National Tea Award in 1974, 1975, 1979 and 2010.

We believe that the best tea begins with high-quality dirt. Through the Chagusaba method, the farm carefully cultivates crops of thick grasses around their tea trees so that they provide added nutrients directly to the soil as a compostable blanket every winter. The farmers also collaborate with researchers from Shizuoka University to study soil and the impacts that its sweetness has on the taste of the tea it cultivates.

This labor-intensive process protects plant delicate roots while giving each tree the nutrition it needs to grow, ensuring that only the best leaves make it into their tea. This longer processing leads to a bolder flavor filled with the health-enhancing amino acid Theanine with smoother mouthfeel, and a subtle hint of sweetness and far less astringency.

The Japanese tea shop Jugetsudo was started in 1980 by Maruyama Nori, the nori (dried seaweed) merchant that was founded in 1854. More than 160 years of tradition and experience pursuing the highest quality ingredients along with the spirit of “Cha-Zen” promise an enjoyable fragrance of tea that will stimulate your senses while providing a sense of comfort.
Jugetsudo opened a tea shop in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter of Paris in 2008. Our authentic Japanese tea has been well received among the people in Paris, the connoisseurs of good food.
Jugetsudo has just started reaching out to the customers in the U.S. The Portland Japanese Garden is now serving our tea at their newly opened tea room, called Umami Cafe and their gift shop also carries our products.

Jugetsudo means “the place from where one looks at the moon.” When we look at the moon, we become humble and truly appreciate its eternal beauty. Jugetsudo would like to offer the bounty of nature through our high-quality tea in a humble and honest way.

A British Isles Bakery

Lá Liath, pronounced la lee-ah, is Irish for "grey day." The name was chosen to reflect the usual Seattle weather, as well as to create a place where people could come to escape those grey days with a pastry and a cup of tea.

Bakery owner Marenka, pronounced Ma-zhen-ka, has a love for all things tea and pastry, as well as her partner, cat, and cookbooks. She hopes that everyone can find something they like to eat at her bakery!

The focus is on baked goods from the British Isles, such as scones, tarts, shortbread tea cakes. Many of the items come in a variety of flavors and are easy to handle while walk around or with a cup of tea in hand.

Eating allergen free is a lifestyle we began over 15 years ago as a young family with the birth of our older daughter, who has multiple food allergies including the top 8 – wheat, dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, peanuts, fish and shellfish, as well as corn, rice, yeast and potatoes, among others. Our other three children also have allergies to nuts, eggs and seafood.

Recipes were born of necessity when we discovered that all the usual ingredients for gluten free goodies were also allergens to us. With a desire for inclusion and a taste for sweets, I looked to my Asian roots, experimenting with ingredients atypical to the Western palate to invent our cakes and cookies. I continue to experiment with new ingredients and play with old recipes to expand our offerings. We find our baked goods tempting and tasty and hope you do too!

We're passionate about tea.
We are tea enthusiasts who love our daily cups of tea. And we're busy parents who want to enjoy the many health benefits of tea but sometimes have to enjoy our favorite beverage on-the-go. To bring balance to our busy lives and yours, we created LizzyKate to share our favorite teas and some great accessories.

We believe the calming sensation that comes from drinking tea is universal, and that we all need more calmness in our lives. For ourselves, our family and friends, we've tested many types of teas and lots of differing tea accessories to find the best. Believers in the health advantages of the whole tea leaf, we are focusing on stocking our favorite loose leaf tea.

Our Company Name
We noticed that a lot of tea companies have masculine names and we wanted a feminine, yet modern name. So we took two classic names, Elizabeth and Katherine, and modernized them to make LizzyKate. Elizabeth and Katherine are also family names, and we like how the modern combination of these traditional names makes a fun company name for our modern take on the traditional world of tea..

After extensive travel and study in tea production and culture, Taka and Kimberly Ino founded Mauna Kea Tea on the Big Island of Hawaii to devote their lives and raise family, following the way of nature. Nature teaches us to cultivate pure and humble minds, intently observing and listening and to see the world without judgement. She forgives our mistakes and guides us back to the way of nature. Truly natural tea embodies these qualities and we hope you find them in your cup.

Our commitment to the environment is demonstrated through our farming practices. By joining the USDA National Organic Program, we have testified that we adhere to a set of legally binding regulations set forth by the USDA. Crops produced by natural farming methods have very little potential for contributing to pollution, and the soil fertility can be maintained indefinitely.

Our goal is to grow and process teas of exceptional purity and cleanliness and educate people about these qualities.

Please visit our booth while at the festival to sample our teas and learn more about their creation. You can also visit our website to order tea and tea related products as well as learn more about us and the teas we produce.

Our story is one of experimentation and surprise. It begins with a love for tea, a hot summer day, and a challenge to create an all-new kind of tea treat.

With 11 years of tea blending experience under its belt, The Jasmine Pearl Tea Company was blossoming. Its tea-loving employees were being made into tea experts – committed to excellence, but also to fun and laughter.

As afternoon sun beamed through our windows, a co-worker and I were speculating about the most refreshing summer treat we could make in the shop. We had plenty of tea at our fingertips – but also ice-cream: “What if we could make a TEA FLOAT?!” One tea blend, Dancing Dragon, had a decidedly root beer character. But without the bubbles, it fell short of expectations. Heather, co-owner of The Jasmine Pearl, pulled a soda stream out of the break room. Suddenly, Dancing Dragon floats became a delicious reality.

That was our first creation, but it didn’t stop there. The whole staff started experimenting wildly with tea sodas. Some of our favorites were total surprises – Lime Twist was so bright and flavorful! Some were weirder than we hoped – sorry, Ginger Peach! Every trial was exciting and soon we were sharing our creations with customers.

In March, 2016, we founded Pearl Soda Company. It was born of delight in the creative opportunities tea offers. Our four original flavors represent our tea experts' favorite experiments. Our hope is that you use these tea syrups to invent your own concoctions. Whether you are whipping up sparkling teas, cocktails, lattes, desserts, or something completely unimagined, we hope they bring you the same simple delight that we get from making them.

We source tea from about 20 different origins all over the world and also offer special tea-related demonstrations, classes, and experiences. Come in for a tasting or to peruse our selection of tea wares. Most of our teas are traditional, single origin, pure teas made from the true tea plant – Camellia sinensis – but we also carry a number of non-tea infusions. Our tea wares range from the basic tools and accoutrements for casual tea making to finely crafted one-of-a-kind antique and artisan-made pieces.

We are located in a large flexible space in the heart of downtown Burien, across the street from the weekly Burien Farmer’s Market that runs on Thursdays from May through October, Town Square Park, and the Burien branch of the King County Library System. There is free on-street parking throughout the neighborhood. Come by and have a cup of tea with us!

Our mission is to spread the Honeybee as far and wide as we can, specifically to hardcore urban environments, rooftops downtown where hotels and restaurants can bring their own brand of honey, farmed onsite directly to their menus, spas and gift packages’. Most Restaurateurs’ anymore simply farm their own herbs and in some cases vegetables onsite, adding beehives is a two-fold benefit: pollination of said herb farm and the honey that it eventually yields. What’s unique is this farm might be on a terrace, 20 stories off the ground, or a rooftop 45 stories high. No matter what or where it may be, Shipwreck Honey is here to help; we have a professional, concise understanding of the special needs/nuances of Hotels and Restaurants and the prized guests who occupy them. We feel very strongly that there are very few challenges that cannot be overcome when placing Hives in these sorts of environments, we are confident in the added value not just fiscally but ecologically amongst your peers and guests alike; the physical footprint of each Hive is small, the ecological footprint however is vast. Give us a call, email or shout-out on facebook, let us help you build your brand of Honey so together we can help the Honeybee.

Media Sponsor BadgeTo quench the thirst of consumers who share a love of tea, Tea Time magazine shares inspirational tea-party menus, recipes, and table-setting ideas, tea-focused destinations and events, tea traditions, and much more. With colorful photographs and detailed articles, this magazine is edited for individuals with a taste for elegant entertaining and of course an appreciation for the culture and celebration that surrounds the art of tea.

Dedicated to fostering one of the oldest traditions in the world — the ancient art of tea — Tillerman Tea strives to introduce North America to authentic, producer direct, Taiwanese oolong tea and to inspire modern appreciation for this traditional beverage.

Every Tillerman tea tells a story; a story of passion for the soil, of dedication to the art and craft of growing and making tea. The stories our teas tell are unique, and each resonates with qualities brought to it by the dedicated growers and producers who create them.

These growers and producers are committed to sustainable, environmentally friendly agricultural practices that respect the Earth and the communities in which they live and work. They see themselves as stewards of the land and the tea bushes that grow on it. These people are special.

TOCHA Teas — A Delicious Difference You can Taste & Feel

Only Certified Organic Ingredients - Our use of only certified organic ingredients helps ensure our teas and blends are pure and safe. It is not possible to wash tea before brewing, so it is important to make sure the ingredients are free from pesticides and other harmful chemicals before they reach the cup.

Honest, Pure Ingredients - No flavorings — neither artificial nor “natural.” Many brands add flavoring to their teas. TOCHA does not agree with this practice. We believe in honest ingredients. What you see is what you get — to taste, savor and feel! The fragrant botanicals we use add just the right amount of delectable aroma and flavor to every cup, showcasing what our wonderful nature can offer.

East Meets West - A Delicious, Holistic Way to Support Your Healthy Lifestyle - Our recipes draw ingredients from both the Eastern and Western hemispheres. Some of our ingredients are highly treasured and very popular in Asia, but less so in North America and other Western communities. For example, chrysanthemum flower blends are uncommon in the U.S. but quite popular in the East. We precision-blend these popular botanicals from diverse cultures to achieve inspiring flavors, fragrances and real-brewed-tea quality, providing you a daily holistic option for your healthy lifestyle.

Your Wellness In Mind - TOCHA has created a family of blends made from teas and botanicals valued for centuries for their diverse wellness-promoting benefits. Some of our blends are good for helping your fit-and-trim goals; some help to soothe and relax you after a rough day. Creating blends that taste great while supporting your daily wellness regimen is our focus and commitment.

The philosophy underlying our company is a simple one: the best teas grow out of the best practices. We feel that at its best, this incredible drink should not only benefit the drinker, but also the people who grow it and our planet Earth.

As such, we are a tea company and yet we see our work as part of something much larger. Every cup of tea we drink supports one system or another, ecologically and socially. In our search to find teas for you, we are working to support ways of tea that benefit everyone, and aligning our work with pioneers within the tea world.
