Drink to your health: The nutrition science of tea

Day & Time:
Saturday, September 28, 2019 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm

While most of us believe that regular consumption of tea is good for one’s health, scientific data to support this idea is amazingly limited. This session will outline the complexities in conducting clinical studies on tea, the need for basic metabolic information, and the exciting new tea research published in the past few years. The aroma, warmth, and feeling in the mouth, gums, and throat after drinking good tea are wonderful. While challenging to quantify in a scientific paradigm, the enjoyment of tea is thousands of years old, and is something to be savored!
